After 28 played minutes, GKS Ruch Radzionków's Arkadiusz Kuszczak shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Michal Nakoneczny came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in GKS Ruch Radzionków reached it. Michal Nakoneczny made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Luty in the 36th minute of play. In the 36th match minute, Pogoń Szczecin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Florian Scigan to maneuver through the defense. When Daniel Luty came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the GKS Ruch Radzionków fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Luty couldn't finish the play. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kazimierz Czekaj stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Luty got free with Michal Nakoneczny in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Pogoń Szczecin defense, Daniel Luty kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Michal Nakoneczny. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kazimierz Czekaj in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Michal Nakoneczny saved Pogoń Szczecin from getting behind. Pogoń Szczecin's Michal Nakoneczny proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Pogoń Szczecin from getting a goal against them. After 73 played minutes Pogoń Szczecin got a freekick which was hit by Filip Kinic. Kazimierz Czekaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Michal Nakoneczny having to interfere. But to his dismay, Janusz Wyrostek quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. 95 minutes into the match, Pogoń Szczecin's goal looked a bit too open when Kazimierz Czekaj came free, but Michal Nakoneczny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
