Karol Dubiel made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Wawrzyniec Mockiewicz sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ignacy Bentkowski in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mieszko Sebzda saved Górnik Zabrze from getting behind. In the 22nd minute of the match, Sylwester Sedzikowski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Karol Dubiel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. When Maciej Czerny fell near the penalty area in the 29th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Górnik Zabrze's protests and gave Maciej Czerny a yellow card for diving instead. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Górnik Zabrze! The Górnik Zabrze manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Pelczyce SA to win.
