Jaroslaw Mentis's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Boguslaw Lizewski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Wiktor Kalinowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrzej Mentis in the 25th minute of play. If Roch Dziatkowicz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 30 minutes, Alfred Dziuma made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. Legia 3 Warszawa's Boguslaw Lizewski tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dariusz Buczak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
