With a little luck, Liverpool F.C.'s Wladyslaw Drab got control of the ball when Ziemowit Cerocki tried to sneak it across the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Kopacze's goal looked a bit too open when Marcin Zawada came free, but Bernard Okopny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 24 minutes into the game, one of Kopacze:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Bernard Okopny had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Teofil Golec's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Gacki in the 30th minute of play forced Liverpool F.C.'s goalkeeper Wladyslaw Drab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Kopacze booed when Liverpool F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karol Karanewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olaf Gacki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Marcin Zawada had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liverpool F.C.'s goalkeeper Wladyslaw Drab, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Olaf Gacki managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kopacze's supporters rose to their feet, but Olaf Gacki was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wladyslaw Drab breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 41 played minutes Liverpool F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Iwo Gonsiewski. After recieving a nice pass, Kopacze's Zula Zgonina tried to score from far away in the 42nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Radomil Olchowy to make the kick off. Fabian Furtok received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Wladyslaw Drab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olaf Gacki struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Wladyslaw Drab didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kopacze. After a rather tough play, Kopacze's Olaf Gacki got a free kick in the 60th minute. A collision led to Liverpool F.C. getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Marcin Zawada hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Liverpool F.C.'s zone, Olaf Gacki stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wladyslaw Drab came out of the goal and Olaf Gacki tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kopacze's Bernard Okopny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Radomil Olchowy in the 79th minute of play. When Ziemowit Cerocki came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Kopacze fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ziemowit Cerocki couldn't finish the play. Marcin Zawada sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Liverpool F.C.'s goalkeeper Wladyslaw Drab, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
