The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Thanks to some nice moves Mariusz Zdanowicz could shoot a difficult shot in the 51st minute, which Edgar Gecionis however easily saved by the left post. 58 minutes into the match, Mieszko Koperski notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Bondary's Bogumil Osowski. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Niemirówek were victorious despite being under pressure from Bondary for much of the match.
