But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariusz Makomaski couldn't finish the play. If Leszek Charlos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 22 played minutes Dzielna Kapibara got a freekick which was hit by Wiktor Gacki. Znicz Pruszków's Ryszard Misiorowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mariusz Makomaski in the 26th minute of play. Leszek Charlos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryszard Misiorowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cyryl Niedziela, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the game, Tolek Arnista was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Znicz Pruszków's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dzielna Kapibara the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in Znicz Pruszków's zone, Mariusz Makomaski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ryszard Misiorowski came out of the goal and Mariusz Makomaski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Radomir Marek fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ulryk Chrobak having to interfere. After some careless play in the Znicz Pruszków defense, Cyryl Niedziela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ryszard Misiorowski. The Znicz Pruszków fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ryszard Misiorowski should have stopped the shot. After the first half Dzielna Kapibara were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leszek Charlos to strike the kick off in the second half. Ryszard Misiorowski made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Mariusz Makomaski sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Znicz Pruszków's Ryszard Misiorowski got control of the ball when Mariusz Makomaski tried to sneak it across the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zbyszko Tomaka couldn't finish the play.
