An unexpected shot in the 38th minute by Damyan Sretenov got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 39th minute, Bogumil Jeziorkowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 41 minutes of play, BP Grochów's Damyan Sretenov made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ryszard Borcz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tomasz Kosel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half AC Milan were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Ryszard Borcz came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by BP Grochów's Daniel Laskowski. But to his dismay, Daniel Laskowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. If Tomasz Kosel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damyan Sretenov in the 93rd minute of play forced AC Milan's goalkeeper Ryszard Borcz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
