The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Herbert Paprotny hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Walery Pinczewski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maciej Popowicz having to make a save. With a little luck, Spallingen SSA's Maciej Popowicz got control of the ball when Walery Pinczewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 9th minute, Spallingen SSA's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Korneliusz Lukasik fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Maciej Popowicz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Korneliusz Lukasik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfred Zieba stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arkadiusz Jestrimski's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. When Ziemowit Sanocki fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Red Stars From Silesia's protests and gave Ziemowit Sanocki a yellow card for diving instead. After 16 played minutes Red Stars From Silesia got a freekick which was hit by Ziemowit Sanocki. Arkadiusz Jestrimski struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Alfred Zieba didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Spallingen SSA. After a rather tough play, Spallingen SSA's Piotr Pilarski got a free kick in the 20th minute. When Spallingen SSA's Tolek Blicharz in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korneliusz Lukasik in the 41st minute of play forced Spallingen SSA's goalkeeper Maciej Popowicz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tolek Blicharz made a kick off. Thanks to some nice moves Arkadiusz Jestrimski could shoot a difficult shot in the 53rd minute, which Alfred Zieba however easily saved by the left post. Walery Pinczewski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maciej Popowicz having to make a save. After 62 minutes, Piotr Pilarski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spallingen SSA and the Red Stars From Silesia players grew even worse after the yellow card. Piotr Pilarski kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Korneliusz Lukasik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Red Stars From Silesia's supporters rose to their feet, but Korneliusz Lukasik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maciej Popowicz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arkadiusz Jestrimski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. In the 81st minute Walery Pinczewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maciej Popowicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Maciej Popowicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walery Pinczewski in the 85th minute of play. Arkadiusz Jestrimski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Alfred Zieba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 89 minutes into the match, Spallingen SSA's goal looked a bit too open when Walery Pinczewski came free, but Maciej Popowicz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ziemowit Sanocki was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. The supporters of Spallingen SSA booed when Red Stars From Silesia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ziemowit Sanocki didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Red Stars From Silesia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Spallingen SSA's performance. The match ended with a win for Spallingen SSA.
