The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Though ot was a great shot Niegocin SA's keeper Kazimierz Zima was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Kryspin Iwaszko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Kazimierz Zima tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, Remigiusz Kapera fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Kazimierz Zima, passed just outside the right post. When Remigiusz Kapera came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the A.K.Kwas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Remigiusz Kapera couldn't finish the play. If Karol Smolarek had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kryspin Iwaszko's late challenge caught a Niegocin SA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karol Smolarek made a kick off. Kazimierz Zima breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kazimierz Zima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Remigiusz Kapera, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute.
