The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the AC Milan defense, Jerzy Korytkowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jerzy Rakiewicz. The AC Milan fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jerzy Rakiewicz should have stopped the shot. Teofil Kiewra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Witold Oleszak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hieronim Prosowski kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Teofil Kiewra's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Witold Oleszak read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 21st minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match, Stanislaw Miecznikowski tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Witold Oleszak saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Teofil Kiewra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jerzy Rakiewicz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jerzy Korytkowski in the 29th minute of play. Maksymilian Wawro charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maksymilian Wawro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Greenburger FC's Maksymilian Wawro in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Jerzy Korytkowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Witold Oleszak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stanislaw Miecznikowski's shot from short distance in the 45th minute.

The wind increased when Stanislaw Miecznikowski made the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Ziemowit Traczewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. AC Milan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Greenburger FC the free kick. If Roch Siembab had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Greenburger FC's Jerzy Korytkowski got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Teofil Kiewra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Greenburger FC's goal looked a bit too open when Teofil Kiewra came free, but Witold Oleszak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Witold Oleszak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teofil Kiewra in the 83rd minute of play. After having played for 85 minutes, Teofil Kiewra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Milan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Teofil Kiewra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 87 minutes into the match, AC Milan's Stanislaw Miecznikowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Witold Oleszak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roch Siembab blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Jerzy Rakiewicz having to make a save. In the 98th minute of the match AC Milan got a corner. Greenburger FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wladyslaw Buda ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Wladyslaw Buda got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Witold Oleszak quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
