The audience was convinced that Klement Lipinski's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Miroslaw Furgat was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Miroslaw Furgat took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Klement Lipinski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 16th minute Klement Lipinski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miroslaw Furgat saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of AC Barcelona booed when Górnik Zawiercie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michal Marciewicz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 23rd match minute, Górnik Zawiercie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tytus Werra to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacek Franzik in the 27th minute of play forced Górnik Zawiercie's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Skirzynski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 32nd minute, AC Barcelona's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tytus Werra fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Gwidon Przybylo in the 35thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Miroslaw Furgat, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After having played for 42 minutes, Andrzej Piglowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. AC Barcelona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrzej Piglowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in AC Barcelona's zone, Gwidon Przybylo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miroslaw Furgat came out of the goal and Gwidon Przybylo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tytus Werra kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Michal Marciewicz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miroslaw Furgat showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 66 minutes, Wasyl Lisewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AC Barcelona and the Górnik Zawiercie players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jacek Franzik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
