After having played for 20 minutes, Jerzy Kalemba managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ukraina Grajewo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jerzy Kalemba was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Krzysztof Zaworski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dominik Kapelski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. 24 minutes into the game, Zdzislaw Niewiadomski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Garbarnia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ukraina Grajewo the free kick. Zbyszko Janiczek shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Radomir Mentus charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radomir Mentus the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ryszard Winszman during the 61st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jerzy Kalemba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jerzy Kalemba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 97th minute Krzysztof Zaworski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominik Kapelski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
