Jerzy Solibieda stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cyryl Tokarczyk's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. When Cyryl Tokarczyk came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Mień Lipno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cyryl Tokarczyk couldn't finish the play. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind GKS Piast's goalkeeper Jerzy Solibieda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 21st minute Jerzy Niedziela shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Solibieda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 23 minutes into the game, one of Mień Lipno:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 28th minute, Jerzy Niedziela hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Mień Lipno's Jedrzej Mindykowski got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 41st minute, Jerzy Niedziela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 43 minutes into the match, Jerzy Niedziela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jerzy Solibieda. GKS Piast's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jerzy Niedziela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gwidon Klucznik to strike the kick off in the second half. Cyryl Tokarczyk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jerzy Niedziela had several of the GKS Piast's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 58 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Jerzy Solibieda as he didn't even see the shot coming. Cyryl Kuszczak might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ludomil Bojanowski. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cyryl Kuszczak ran back to his position shaking his head. When Jerzy Niedziela came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Mień Lipno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jerzy Niedziela couldn't finish the play. Zenon Bakes kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. When Jerzy Niedziela came up free with the goalie in the 72nd minute, the Mień Lipno fans jumped to their feet. Jakub Kalinowski's late challenge caught a Mień Lipno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jakub Kalinowski helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Mień Lipno booed when GKS Piast was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakub Kalinowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cyryl Tokarczyk came free with the goalkeeper in the 89th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jerzy Solibieda could save by the left post. In the 90th minute, Zenon Jaszynski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jerzy Solibieda was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The GKS Piast fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Mień Lipno were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
