Spectators: 6674 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1674, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Julian Andryszyn took the kick off in the first half of the match. A collision led to GKS Piast getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Zygmunt Przybyciel hit a great ball. GKS Piast's Jerzy Solibieda proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save GKS Piast from getting a goal against them. In the 8th minute Julian Andryszyn shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Solibieda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in GKS Piast's zone, Julian Andryszyn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerzy Solibieda came out of the goal and Julian Andryszyn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the game, Zygmunt Przybyciel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GKS Piast's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave L 1999 the free kick. After a rather tough play, GKS Piast's Zygmunt Przybyciel got a free kick in the 15th minute. After recieving a nice pass, L 1999's Witomir Terasek tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Grzegorz Burufski's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 19thth minute, Jerzy Solibieda skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Julian Andryszyn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jerzy Solibieda having to interfere. In the 29th minute Gwidon Klucznik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Robert Tylenda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gwidon Klucznik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cyryl Kuszczak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Tylenda having to interfere. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gwidon Klucznik made a kick off. When Cyryl Kuszczak came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the GKS Piast fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cyryl Kuszczak couldn't finish the play. Aleksander Pisarcik took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jerzy Solibieda. Jerzy Solibieda dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Grzegorz Burufski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Julian Andryszyn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Andryszyn in the 65th minute of play forced GKS Piast's goalkeeper Jerzy Solibieda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Julian Andryszyn recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Sawicki in the 85th minute of play forced GKS Piast's goalkeeper Jerzy Solibieda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Grzegorz Burufski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jerzy Solibieda read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. After having played for 91 minutes, Cyryl Kuszczak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GKS Piast's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cyryl Kuszczak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of GKS Piast booed when L 1999 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grzegorz Arnista didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cyryl Kuszczak got free with Robert Tylenda in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the match had gone on for 95 minutes, Julian Andryszyn put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jerzy Solibieda. L 1999's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
