After 4 minutes of play, Gniewoszyce's Witold Brzeszczak made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. After having played for 8 minutes, Sebastian Czerwinski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Polennia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Czerwinski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. FC Polennia's Konrad Soliwoda got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, FC Polennia's goal looked a bit too open when Zula Marud came free, but Kryspin Ferfecki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Mariusz Borowski fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Polennia's protests and gave Mariusz Borowski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to FC Polennia getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Mariusz Borowski hit a great ball. FC Polennia were furious when Stefan Budarz was red carded, 19 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Kryspin Ferfecki went to the wrong direction when Marian Burowski was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After 22 played minutes FC Polennia got a freekick which was hit by Mariusz Borowski. After 26 minutes of play, Gniewoszyce's Marian Karbowski made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kryspin Ferfecki was left in no man's land by his defense there! Piotr Kornaszewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Tadeusz Przewozik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kryspin Ferfecki took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leon Golob, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When FC Polennia's Konrad Soliwoda in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Gniewoszyce's goalie prevented a goal. If Piotr Kornaszewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Witalis Sobczak was the one to do the kick off. With a little luck, FC Polennia's Kryspin Ferfecki got control of the ball when Witalis Sobczak tried to sneak it across the goal line. Marian Karbowski charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marian Karbowski the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gniewoszyce's Marian Karbowski got a free kick in the 57th minute. In the 60th minute Konrad Soliwoda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Przewozik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Witold Brzeszczak kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kryspin Ferfecki. That made the score 0-3 in the 65 minute of play. Tolek Trzemzalski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Witalis Sobczak fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Witold Brzeszczak's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Kryspin Ferfecki firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Piotr Kornaszewski came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the FC Polennia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Piotr Kornaszewski couldn't finish the play. After having played for 85 minutes, Tolek Trzemzalski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Polennia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tolek Trzemzalski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gniewoszyce's Tadeusz Przewozik played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolek Trzemzalski in the 90th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, FC Polennia's Konrad Soliwoda sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tadeusz Przewozik narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gniewoszyce's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
