MKP Zgierz's Ludomil Maruda got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iwo Pisarczyk was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 34th minute. Supper Stars FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. MKP Zgierz's Przemyslaw Wincek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iwo Pisarczyk in the 36th minute of play. Iwo Pisarczyk struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Przemyslaw Wincek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Supper Stars FC. Zdzislaw Fronczak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute Ludomil Maruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwidon Czysty saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Iwo Pisarczyk in the 81st minute of play forced MKP Zgierz's goalkeeper Przemyslaw Wincek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in MKP Zgierz's zone, Iwo Pisarczyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Przemyslaw Wincek came out of the goal and Iwo Pisarczyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Iwo Pisarczyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Przemyslaw Wincek tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zdzislaw Fronczak might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gwidon Czysty. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zdzislaw Fronczak ran back to his position shaking his head. Konrad Kasiewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Supper Stars FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
