Klement Mleczewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Czeslaw Podowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Klement Mleczewski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Piersna got a freekick which was hit by Jacek Magdziarz. Klement Mleczewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miroslaw Skrzypiec, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Czeslaw Podowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zdzislaw Chmielecki could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Bogdan Mentis made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fryderyk Cieliczka in the 33rd minute of play forced Piersna's goalkeeper Bogdan Mentis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zdzislaw Chmielecki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bogdan Mentis having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Czeslaw Podowski to make the kick off. Zdzislaw Chmielecki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Bogdan Mentis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zdzislaw Chmielecki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Piersna's goal looked a bit too open when Fryderyk Cieliczka came free, but Bogdan Mentis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fryderyk Cieliczka came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Czaplów fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fryderyk Cieliczka couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fryderyk Cieliczka in the 79th minute of play forced Piersna's goalkeeper Bogdan Mentis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Jacek Magdziarz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Piersna's Bogdan Mentis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fryderyk Cieliczka in the 92nd minute of play. Zdzislaw Chmielecki struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Bogdan Mentis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Czaplów.
