Juliusz Pinczewski was slow to take the kick. During this time Ankh Morpork FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Brzeźno Team's goalie and right to Ziemowit Bentkowski. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Brzeźno Team's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 14th minute, Damazy Japola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a little luck, Brzeźno Team's Gustaw Kiszkiel got control of the ball when Tobiasz Golob tried to sneak it across the goal line. Brzeźno Team's Gustaw Kiszkiel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobiasz Golob in the 18th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tobiasz Golob got free with Gustaw Kiszkiel in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jakub Fedosz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tadeusz Hoffman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaw Kiszkiel made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Tobiasz Golob sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the match, Ankh Morpork FC's Wasyl Kosakowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gustaw Kiszkiel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wasyl Kosakowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gustaw Kiszkiel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Lukasz Okopny notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Brzeźno Team's Gustaw Kiszkiel. Gustaw Kiszkiel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 43 minutes into the game, Roch Czeberowski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ankh Morpork FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Brzeźno Team the free kick. Roch Czeberowski hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Ankh Morpork FC's Artur Skaradoski got a free kick in the 46th minute. When Stasio Cichocki came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Brzeźno Team fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Stasio Cichocki couldn't finish the play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wasyl Kosakowski made a kick off. The supporters of Ankh Morpork FC booed when Brzeźno Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomasz Czerniejewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lukasz Okopny came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Ankh Morpork FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lukasz Okopny couldn't finish the play. Tobiasz Golob's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gustaw Kiszkiel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Tobiasz Golob managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ankh Morpork FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobiasz Golob was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gustaw Kiszkiel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wasyl Kosakowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Ankh Morpork FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
