Waclaw Latkiewicz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmund Miarka in the 11th minute of the match. The supporters of Małe Koxy booed when GLADIUS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrzej Kowalski didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Edmund Miarka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Witomir Sanocki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Korneliusz Gaszynski, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. If Korneliusz Gaszynski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korneliusz Gaszynski in the 20th minute of play forced Małe Koxy's goalkeeper Witomir Sanocki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Małe Koxy's Edmund Miarka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Waclaw Latkiewicz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 26 minutes into the match, Czeslaw Rakowicz notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Małe Koxy's Witomir Sanocki. Witomir Sanocki was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Czeslaw Rakowicz might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Witomir Sanocki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. GLADIUS's supporters rose to their feet, but Korneliusz Gaszynski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Witomir Sanocki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Witomir Sanocki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Czeslaw Rakowicz in the 36th minute of play. After having played for 38 minutes, Korneliusz Gaszynski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GLADIUS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Korneliusz Gaszynski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Czeslaw Rakowicz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a little luck, GLADIUS's Waclaw Latkiewicz got control of the ball when Tanek Nowacki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Czeslaw Rakowicz in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Witomir Sanocki saved Małe Koxy from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Edmund Miarka put it in 2-2 from a short distance just to the right of Waclaw Latkiewicz. In the 68th minute Edmund Miarka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waclaw Latkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, GLADIUS's Rafal Zatorski got a free kick in the 69th minute. Czeslaw Rakowicz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Witomir Sanocki having to interfere. Czeslaw Rakowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Witomir Sanocki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Małe Koxy's zone, Korneliusz Gaszynski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Witomir Sanocki came out of the goal and Korneliusz Gaszynski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Czeslaw Rakowicz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Witomir Sanocki tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Waclaw Latkiewicz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edmund Miarka's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the GLADIUS players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
