In the 7th play minute Fryderyk Domeracki came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Cezary Kajfasz. 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olgierd Niedzwiecki in the 15th minute of play forced Sztum's goalkeeper Igor Dulemba to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Olgierd Niedzwiecki received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Igor Dulemba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Witomir Niezywy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cezary Kajfasz having to interfere. After 29 minutes, Slawomir Pozorski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olimpia Elbląg and the Sztum players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Olimpia Elbląg's Slawomir Pozorski got a free kick in the 29th minute. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sztum's goalkeeper Igor Dulemba, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Wincenty Brytka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zygmunt Budarz charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zygmunt Budarz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Olimpia Elbląg getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Zygmunt Budarz hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Witomir Niezywy managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sztum's supporters rose to their feet, but Witomir Niezywy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cezary Kajfasz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Marian Zatorski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cezary Kajfasz having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wincenty Brytka was the one to do the kick off. Olimpia Elbląg's Cezary Kajfasz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marian Zatorski in the 56th minute of play. Witomir Niezywy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Wincenty Brytka kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Igor Dulemba. That made the score 1-1 in the 61 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Wincenty Brytka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olimpia Elbląg's supporters rose to their feet, but Wincenty Brytka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Igor Dulemba breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Wincenty Brytka kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Igor Dulemba. That made the score 1-2 in the 67 minute of play. The attack was good, but when Witomir Niezywy in the 72nd minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 74th minute, Olgierd Niedzwiecki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 78th minute Sztum were awarded a corner. Filip Piatek went to the cornerflag to take it. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Arkadiusz Zawacki advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-2 in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute Marian Zatorski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cezary Kajfasz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 83 minutes into the match, Olimpia Elbląg's goal looked a bit too open when Witomir Niezywy came free, but Cezary Kajfasz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cezary Kajfasz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marian Zatorski in the 85th minute of play. Witomir Niezywy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cezary Kajfasz having to interfere.
