The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartlomiej Dres got free with Wincenty Rzentkowski in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juliusz Piwowarski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Harbaszewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 10th minute, Bartlomiej Dres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GKS Tychy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Brzakala in the 15th minute of play forced GKS Tychy's goalkeeper Juliusz Piwowarski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fabian Brzakala received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. With a little luck, Gartatowice SA's Wincenty Rzentkowski got control of the ball when Bartlomiej Dres tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gartatowice SA's Gustaw Poreda got a free kick in the 48th minute. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adam Ankiewicz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wincenty Rzentkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartlomiej Dres in the 54th minute of play. Fabian Brzakala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wincenty Rzentkowski came out of the goal and Wlodzimierz Harasimowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Fabian Brzakala managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gartatowice SA's supporters rose to their feet, but Fabian Brzakala was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juliusz Piwowarski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the last second Juliusz Piwowarski throw himself and got hold of the ball when Fabian Brzakala in the 77thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Wasyl Fiszer, 83 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Edgar Harbaszewski hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wlodzimierz Harasimowicz in the 89th minute of play forced Gartatowice SA's goalkeeper Wincenty Rzentkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Adam Ankiewicz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wincenty Rzentkowski having to make a save. Gartatowice SA's Edgar Harbaszewski got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
