The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaw Sniegowski got free with Jerzy Biegun in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute, Mieszko Gorzkiewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Gustaw Sniegowski made a precise shot to the right of Jerzy Biegun. FC Raki Radom's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in FC Raki Radom's zone, Gustaw Sniegowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jerzy Biegun came out of the goal and Gustaw Sniegowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Schülzen's Maciej Dejo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jerzy Biegun narrowly saved just below the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Witomir Banan to make the kick off. Tanek Trynda might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Milosz Czekaj. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tanek Trynda ran back to his position shaking his head. Jerzy Biegun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaw Sniegowski in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute Gustaw Sniegowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jerzy Biegun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The tension between the FC Raki Radom and the Schülzen players grew even worse after the yellow card.
