Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mateusz Kocieniewski in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernard Slazak prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Juliusz Pleban might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bernard Slazak. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Juliusz Pleban ran back to his position shaking his head. 11 minutes into the match, Mateusz Kocieniewski notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Iskra Opole's Bernard Slazak. Bernard Slazak was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Jerzy Zima fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Iskra Opole's protests and gave Jerzy Zima a yellow card for diving instead. Jerzy Zima hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Juliusz Pleban fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Slazak having to interfere. If Radoslaw Liberko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernard Slazak stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mateusz Kocieniewski's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateusz Kocieniewski in the 31st minute of play forced Iskra Opole's goalkeeper Bernard Slazak to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Lubiel SSA's zone, Michal Falke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stefan Gacki came out of the goal and Michal Falke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bernard Slazak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateusz Kocieniewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juliusz Pleban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Bernard Slazak tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Michal Falke to make the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Bernard Slazak successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Iskra Opole's goalkeeper Bernard Slazak, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Bernard Slazak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Juliusz Pleban in the 58th minute. Radoslaw Liberko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Bernard Slazak managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Lubiel SSA's Juliusz Pleban fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Stefan Gacki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michal Falke in the 66th minute of play. After 67 played minutes Lubiel SSA got a freekick which was hit by Franciszek Pracki. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Radoslaw Liberko managed to get in a good position for a shot. Iskra Opole's supporters rose to their feet, but Radoslaw Liberko was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Gacki breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernard Slazak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mateusz Kocieniewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Edmund Kosowski's late challenge caught a Iskra Opole's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmund Kosowski helped the player get up and apologised. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Lubiel SSA:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Iskra Opole:s goal. When Michal Falke came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Iskra Opole fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Michal Falke couldn't finish the play. The crowd rose to their feet as Mateusz Kocieniewski kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bernard Slazak. That made the score 0-3 in the 81 minute of play. After having played for 89 minutes, Mateusz Kocieniewski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lubiel SSA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateusz Kocieniewski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerzy Zima might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stefan Gacki. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jerzy Zima ran back to his position shaking his head. Iskra Opole's Bernard Slazak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franciszek Pracki in the 96th minute of play. Lubiel SSA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
