But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Radomir Szotek couldn't finish the play. In the 13th minute Igor Swoboda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tanek Seliga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. TeamTychy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaw Chrobak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 41 minutes, Edward Frankowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TeamTychy and the AZ Przeszczep players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 41 played minutes TeamTychy got a freekick which was hit by Edward Frankowski. If Witomir Marchefka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 48 minutes into the match, AZ Przeszczep's Radomir Szotek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Teobald Nowakowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Igor Swoboda stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tanek Seliga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Swoboda, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Teobald Nowakowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomir Szotek in the 58th minute of the match. Gustaw Chrobak might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tanek Seliga. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gustaw Chrobak ran back to his position shaking his head. 63 minutes into the match, TeamTychy's Stefan Nakoneczny broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Igor Swoboda in the 65th minute of play forced AZ Przeszczep's goalkeeper Tanek Seliga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 67 played minutes TeamTychy got a freekick which was hit by Stefan Nakoneczny. Teobald Nowakowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Witomir Marchefka, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Teobald Nowakowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Witomir Marchefka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
