Bernard Blicharz took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Szczepan Charlap. Szczepan Charlap dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 7 minutes, Bernard Blicharz made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. Orły Oleśnica's Szczepan Charlap tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. After having played for 14 minutes, Ryszard Brytan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Orły Oleśnica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ryszard Brytan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Grzegorz Koperski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Orły Oleśnica's Boruc Majewski got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 20th minute of the match, Leszek Pruss got a very nice opportunity to score, but Szczepan Charlap was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ryszard Brytan struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Dominik Mindykowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Orły Oleśnica. The supporters of FC Lech Poznań booed when Orły Oleśnica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ksawery Piszczor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 36th minute, Ryszard Brytan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dominik Mindykowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Feliks Dankowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucjan Parzysz kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. A collision led to FC Lech Poznań getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Feliks Dankowski hit a great ball. Orły Oleśnica's Szczepan Charlap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Feliks Dankowski in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Orły Oleśnica's Ksawery Piszczor got a free kick in the 46th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Feliks Dankowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ryszard Brytan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dominik Mindykowski having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Ryszard Brytan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dominik Mindykowski. FC Lech Poznań's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ryszard Brytan was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. 68 minutes into the game, Orły Oleśnica's Ryszard Brytan nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dominik Mindykowski made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Grzegorz Koperski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Dominik Mindykowski made a huge save. The corner went over the outstretched arms of FC Lech Poznań's goalie and right to Boruc Majewski. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. FC Lech Poznań's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Orły Oleśnica's Szczepan Charlap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernard Blicharz in the 87th minute of play. When Boruc Majewski fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orły Oleśnica's protests and gave Boruc Majewski a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC Lech Poznań booed when Orły Oleśnica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Boruc Majewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Orły Oleśnica played a much better game than FC Lech Poznań and deserved their victory. The FC Lech Poznań players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
