Piotr Cwenar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Julian Jestrimski read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 12 minutes, Piotr Cwenar put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Julian Jestrimski. Benedykt Fleszar hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. If Piotr Cwenar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The long shot by Cyryl Miazga in the 24th minute really tested Igor Mikulski's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Newcastle United's Wieslaw Setara in the 28th minute got a chance for a shot 28th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After some careless play in the Newcastle United defense, Radoslaw Ewertowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Igor Mikulski. The Newcastle United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Igor Mikulski should have stopped the shot. 40 minutes into the game, Ignacy Rekawiczka recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Igor Mikulski. Ignacy Rekawiczka showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. In the 44th minute of the match Milosz Kosel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Igor Mikulski skillfully saved the ball. Bartlomiej Solarek got his second yellow card in the match during the 45th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Stal Głowno booed when Newcastle United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartlomiej Solarek didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Stefan Glapiak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Julian Jestrimski having to interfere. If Wieslaw Setara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Wieslaw Setara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newcastle United's supporters rose to their feet, but Wieslaw Setara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Julian Jestrimski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Stal Głowno support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
