The referee ignored RKS CHUWDU's protests and gave Wasyl Bakes a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to RKS CHUWDU getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Wasyl Bakes hit a great ball. In the 17th match minute, RKS CHUWDU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boruc Zalipski to maneuver through the defense. Widzew Łódz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Radomir Pietrowicz in the 21st minute. In the 25th minute, Izydor Maziarski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stefan Tobaczewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kajetan Kiewra in the 27th minute of the match. Stefan Tobaczewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kajetan Kiewra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. RKS CHUWDU's defense didn't have a chance, in the 38th minute, when Andrzej Petka scored to the left of an out of position Stefan Tobaczewski, making the score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateusz Kaczynski in the 42nd minute of play forced Widzew Łódz's goalkeeper Ryszard Banan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Kajetan Kiewra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kajetan Kiewra to make the kick off. Teofil Dobrzechowski kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Widzew Łódz's Ryszard Banan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateusz Kaczynski in the 61st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Kajetan Kiewra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Widzew Łódz's supporters rose to their feet, but Kajetan Kiewra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stefan Tobaczewski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of RKS CHUWDU booed when Widzew Łódz was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kajetan Kiewra didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st minute, Mateusz Kaczynski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Boruc Zalipski's late challenge caught a Widzew Łódz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
