Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Boleslaw Lato successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Teofil Filipkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Daniel Orling tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Radomil Bobrowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Szczecińska Pogoń's Jurand Dytrych got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th minute, Cracovia's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Tolek Polakowski fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jurand Dytrych in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boleslaw Lato prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Cracovia's zone, Tolek Polakowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boleslaw Lato came out of the goal and Tolek Polakowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jurand Dytrych to make the kick off. Teofil Filipkowski blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Daniel Orling having to make a save. Radomil Bobrowski was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Cracovia's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Tolek Polakowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Szczecińska Pogoń's supporters rose to their feet, but Tolek Polakowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boleslaw Lato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Radomil Gongola kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Cracovia's Jacek Dlugi tried to score from far away in the 64th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Teofil Filipkowski succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 66th playminute. In the 70th minute, Ignacy Cebula hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 72 minutes into the match, Cracovia's goal looked a bit too open when Tolek Polakowski came free, but Boleslaw Lato reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boleslaw Lato showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jurand Dytrych in the 74th minute of the match. Teofil Filipkowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Orling having to interfere. The supporters of Cracovia booed when Szczecińska Pogoń was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacy Cebula didn't get a good kick on the ball. Szczecińska Pogoń's Daniel Orling proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Szczecińska Pogoń from getting a goal against them. 86 minutes had been played when some careless play by Cracovia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Radomil Gongola was slow to take the kick. During this time Szczecińska Pogoń's players had a chance to rest. Radomil Gongola made a great header on Szczecińska Pogoń's corner, it was just that Cracovia's Boleslaw Lato managed to reach the ball for a save. Tolek Polakowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
