Betlejem Reda end's Sylwester Nuszkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stasio Frankowski in the 22nd minute of play. After 24 played minutes Betlejem Reda end got a freekick which was hit by Korneliusz Dejo. Norbert Lampe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Aureliusz Tscherner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Waldemar Lizewski made a huge save. GieKSa 1964 Katowice's Stasio Frankowski got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
