In the 25th minute Napoleon Czerniejewski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Lichniak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Korneliusz Pilarczyk in the 28th minute of play forced Darowne SSA's goalkeeper Karol Augustyn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Korneliusz Pilarczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 97 minutes into the game, Darowne SSA's Napoleon Czerniejewski nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bernard Lichniak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Darowne SSA's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
