A collision led to KP Zyrardow getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Ludomil Kuszczak hit a great ball. KP Zyrardow's Marek Dyczkowski proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save KP Zyrardow from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Mertensdorf booed when KP Zyrardow was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ludomil Kuszczak didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Janusz Debkowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Marek Dyczkowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwan Marchefka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Janusz Debkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mertensdorf's supporters rose to their feet, but Janusz Debkowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 43rd minute Miromir Lichorobiec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Izydor Osowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Barnaba Boruta notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mertensdorf's Izydor Osowski. Izydor Osowski was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Mertensdorf players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. KP Zyrardow were winning 0-1.
