The audience was convinced that Waldemar Faron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tadeusz Piatek was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. The supporters of Legia Jasło booed when Andreastal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andreastal's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 42nd minute Waldemar Faron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Piatek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bartlomiej Gacek made a kick off. In the 51st minute Przemyslaw Kasprzak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Witold Oborski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Milosz Major came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Andreastal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milosz Major couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the match, Milosz Major had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tadeusz Piatek. Legia Jasło's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Milosz Major was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Witold Oborski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Przemyslaw Kasprzak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 66 played minutes Legia Jasło got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Nowakowski. If Przemyslaw Kasprzak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. In the 73rd match minute, Andreastal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Napoleon Niziolek to maneuver through the defense. Tadeusz Piatek came out of the goal and Waldemar Faron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 89th minute, Milosz Major fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tadeusz Piatek, passed just outside the right post. In the 92nd minute, Legia Jasło's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Milosz Major fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 93rd minute Waldemar Faron shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tadeusz Piatek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
