Obierwia's Konstanty Matuch played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludomir Radziszewski in the 55th minute of play. In the 61st minute Zula Chmelyk suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Obierwia's supporters rose to their feet, but Herbert Majorski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wojciech Kochowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
