Zagłębie Sosnowiec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marcin Kaider was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 17 minutes into the match, Zagłębie Sosnowiec's goalkeeper Bartosz Niemoj had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Szczepan Bierfass. Bartosz Niemoj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Boguslaw Andrysiak, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Szczepan Bierfass could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Bartosz Niemoj made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in Zapolednik's zone, Miroslaw Radzyminski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Damazy Brataniec came out of the goal and Miroslaw Radzyminski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 46th minute Miroslaw Radzyminski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damazy Brataniec saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucjan Modrzewski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Boguslaw Andrysiak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 58 minutes, Marcin Kaider took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Damazy Brataniec to make any attempt to save it. Damazy Brataniec made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marcin Kaider in the 61st minute. Miroslaw Radzyminski ran back to his position shaking his head. If Marcin Kaider had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Boguslaw Andrysiak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bartosz Niemoj having to interfere. If Szczepan Bierfass had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zagłębie Sosnowiec walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
