Spectators: 6445 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 20) Gks Pogoń's Zdzislaw Zacharczyk started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stefan Czaplicki took the ball and in the 4 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Daniel Pasterski. Daniel Pasterski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Przemyslaw Zuraw during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Przemyslaw Zuraw hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Robert Laskowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sparta Szczekociny fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Sparta Szczekociny's Antoni Jaktorowo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ludomil Barniszke in the 21st minute of play. In the 33rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sparta Szczekociny's goalkeeper Antoni Jaktorowo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tolek Czermak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Antoni Jaktorowo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Dariusz Siedlecki came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Gks Pogoń fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dariusz Siedlecki couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the game, Dariusz Siedlecki recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antoni Jaktorowo. Dariusz Siedlecki showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2.

Edward Jaroszewicz made in the 53rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Gks Pogoń's Ignacy Gierlach. After 54 minutes, Krzysztof Kordalewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sparta Szczekociny and the Gks Pogoń players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th match minute, Sparta Szczekociny was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krzysztof Kordalewski to maneuver through the defense. Ignacy Gierlach struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Antoni Jaktorowo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gks Pogoń. In the 57th minute, Krzysztof Kordalewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dariusz Siedlecki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Pasterski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefan Czaplicki, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After having played for 83 minutes, Dariusz Siedlecki managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gks Pogoń's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dariusz Siedlecki was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Pasterski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Czaplicki in the 84th minute of play. After 85 played minutes Gks Pogoń got a freekick which was hit by Zbyszko Wolczewski. Zdzislaw Zacharczyk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gks Pogoń's Przemyslaw Zuraw got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sparta Szczekociny's zone, Zdzislaw Zacharczyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antoni Jaktorowo came out of the goal and Zdzislaw Zacharczyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Sparta Szczekociny supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sparta Szczekociny would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
