KS.Drygulec's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jurand Tusk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th match minute, Unia Lech was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roch Barciniak to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Jurand Tusk had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Robert Wolicki. Unia Lech's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jurand Tusk was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Ksawery Sanocki made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hieronim Rode in the 35th minute. The supporters of Unia Lech booed when KS.Drygulec was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Witalis Rojewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 37th minute of the match Wieslaw Juroszek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ksawery Sanocki showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Hieronim Rode had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ksawery Sanocki came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Unia Lech's Wladyslaw Ostrowski. But to his dismay, Wladyslaw Ostrowski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Jurand Tusk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Wolicki having to interfere. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 55thth minute of the game Andrzej Gabis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but KS.Drygulec's Ksawery Sanocki was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Grzegorz Fleischer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robert Wolicki having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hieronim Rode in the 68th minute of play forced KS.Drygulec's goalkeeper Ksawery Sanocki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. KS.Drygulec's Ksawery Sanocki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrzej Gabis in the 69th minute of play. Ksawery Sanocki showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrzej Gabis, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Ksawery Sanocki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hieronim Rode in the 73rd minute of play. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grzegorz Fleischer in the 95th minute of play forced Unia Lech's goalkeeper Robert Wolicki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Wolicki showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Grzegorz Fleischer in the 96th minute of the match. Unia Lech's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
