The supporters of GKS Katowice booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Ciupierdo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pankracy Klimkiewicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Benedykt Czeberowski made a huge save. Olgierd Orszak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 60th minute Zdzislaw Mojsiewicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedykt Czeberowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Radomil Golota sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Olgierd Orszak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grzegorz Bejgier having to interfere. After 92 minutes, Olgierd Orszak mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GKS Katowice and the Manchester United players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 96th match minute, GKS Katowice was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olgierd Orszak to maneuver through the defense. GKS Katowice's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
