Wilczorude's Sebastian Zywiec played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roman Jarosiewicz in the 28th minute of play. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tanek Raszek the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Blizna Podkarpacie protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tanek Raszek had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 29th minute, one of Blizna Podkarpacie:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Blizna Podkarpacie. After a defensive mix-up in Blizna Podkarpacie's zone, Roman Barniszke stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wasyl Redisz came out of the goal and Roman Barniszke tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radowit Bartochowski in the 44th minute of play forced Wilczorude's goalkeeper Sebastian Zywiec to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute, Witomir Rakowski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Wilczorude's zone, Roman Jarosiewicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastian Zywiec came out of the goal and Roman Jarosiewicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Radowit Bartochowski made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Roman Jarosiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Blizna Podkarpacie's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Jarosiewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sebastian Zywiec breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Wilczorude's Witalis Jaworski got a free kick in the 55th minute.
