Górnik Zabrze's Tadeusz Barna played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Napoleon Gdowik in the 6th minute of play. Tadeusz Barna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartlomiej Niziolek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eugeniusz Pisarczyk during the 8th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dębica FC made a substitution. Karol Debkowski replaced Nelson Beatty. After 8 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Górnik Zabrze! The referee gave Dębica FC a penalty, 11 minutes into the game. If Dariusz Marajda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dariusz Marajda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeusz Barna having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Dębica FC's Dariusz Marajda slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tadeusz Barna. That made the score 0-7 after 87 minutes of play. Tadeusz Barna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dariusz Marajda in the 93rd minute of play. Dębica FC played a much better game than Górnik Zabrze and deserved their victory. The Górnik Zabrze players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
