The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Matuch got free with Bogumil Wyrostek in the 3rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to FC Sauren Apfel getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Boruc Hajduk hit a great ball. Bogumil Kochanowicz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 5th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Janusz Klucznik blasted a shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bogumil Wyrostek having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Wiedengut SA's Fabian Podwojski got a free kick in the 8th minute. Wiedengut SA's Zygmunt Cytrynski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wladyslaw Rykaczewski in the 14th minute of play. After having played for 16 minutes, Janusz Klucznik managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wiedengut SA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Janusz Klucznik was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Radomil Lagiewniki's late challenge caught a Wiedengut SA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Radomil Lagiewniki helped the player get up and apologised. After 20 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Sauren Apfel! When the match had been going on for 22 minutes, Wiedengut SA's Bogumil Kochanowicz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bogumil Wyrostek. When Borys Dombroski fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wiedengut SA's protests and gave Borys Dombroski a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Wiedengut SA getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Borys Dombroski hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Janusz Klucznik managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wiedengut SA's supporters rose to their feet, but Janusz Klucznik was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bogumil Wyrostek breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FC Sauren Apfel's Boruc Hajduk got a free kick in the 30th minute. Janusz Klucznik's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bogumil Wyrostek read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Janusz Klucznik to strike the kick off in the second half. Bogumil Wyrostek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Matuch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 57th minute, Przemyslaw Petrasz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. FC Sauren Apfel's Wladyslaw Rykaczewski got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Przemyslaw Petrasz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 64 minutes into the match, FC Sauren Apfel's goal looked a bit too open when Janusz Klucznik came free, but Bogumil Wyrostek reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Jan Matuch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wiedengut SA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jan Matuch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jan Matuch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 76th minute Janusz Klucznik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bogumil Wyrostek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Janusz Klucznik sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Przemyslaw Petrasz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Zygmunt Cytrynski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bogumil Kochanowicz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 87th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Bogumil Wyrostek. FC Sauren Apfel's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Bogumil Wyrostek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Janusz Klucznik in the 96th minute of the match. FC Sauren Apfel's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
