Adam Kiewra was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 14 minutes into the match. Koryto SSA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldemar Zawada was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 43 played minutes FC Toruń got a freekick which was hit by Wincenty Kluczyk. Jerzy Czeberowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Zbyszko Klimkiewicz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 54th minute, Roch Pluciennik got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roch Pluciennik got free with Sebastian Knopek in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 71st minute Jerzy Czeberowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zbyszko Klimkiewicz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldemar Zawada ran back to his position shaking his head. FC Toruń's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
