Knottu's Marian Czech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Witomir Kieca in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Waleczni's zone, Fryderyk Ziombkowski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roland Watarz came out of the goal and Fryderyk Ziombkowski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 22nd minute, Jurand Parajewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roland Watarz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roland Nieuzyla, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Jurand Parajewski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waleczni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knottu the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Fryderyk Ziombkowski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Knottu's supporters rose to their feet, but Fryderyk Ziombkowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edward Raflewski to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Waleczni's Edward Raflewski broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Edward Raflewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
