Napoleon Drozdowski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 9 minutes into the match, Lech Poznań's goal looked a bit too open when Maksymilian Kolano came free, but Napoleon Drozdowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olgierd Czerny fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tytus Wielgopolski having to interfere. With a little luck, Jeglia's Tytus Wielgopolski got control of the ball when Wincenty Byczewski tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tytus Wielgopolski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wincenty Byczewski in the 24th minute. After 25 minutes, Kryspin Banach mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lech Poznań and the Jeglia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 25th match minute, Lech Poznań was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kryspin Banach to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 27 minutes, Maksymilian Kolano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jeglia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Maksymilian Kolano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Lech Poznań's goalkeeper Napoleon Drozdowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tytus Wielgopolski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olgierd Czerny, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Wincenty Byczewski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute, Kryspin Banach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Jeglia defense, Wincenty Byczewski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tytus Wielgopolski. The Jeglia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tytus Wielgopolski should have stopped the shot. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Maksymilian Kolano made the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute Maksymilian Kolano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Napoleon Drozdowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wincenty Mazierski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Napoleon Drozdowski having to interfere. Jeglia's Maksymilian Kolano got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tytus Wielgopolski came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Lech Poznań's Wincenty Byczewski. But to his dismay, Wincenty Byczewski quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. After 66 played minutes Jeglia got a freekick which was hit by Eugeniusz Kaszubik. Tytus Wielgopolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wincenty Byczewski in the 75th minute of play. Napoleon Drozdowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maksymilian Kolano in the 78th minute of the match. The supporters of Jeglia booed when Lech Poznań was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kryspin Kaczeniak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Maksymilian Kolano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Lech Poznań getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Kryspin Banach hit a great ball. When Maksymilian Kolano came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Jeglia fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maksymilian Kolano couldn't finish the play. Wincenty Byczewski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Tytus Wielgopolski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lech Poznań were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Jeglia for a fine match.
