But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Boleslaw Jakubiak couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ajax Tychy booed when The GreaT PandeMoniuM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roch Hajder didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leszek Gardocki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ajax Tychy's Damazy Podwojski in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Zachariasz Marchewka was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eugeniusz Wolnik. In the 47th minute Boleslaw Jakubiak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florian Piekarczyk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Damazy Podwojski to make the kick off. Tobiasz Sidorowicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Florian Piekarczyk made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Damazy Podwojski managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ajax Tychy's supporters rose to their feet, but Damazy Podwojski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zachariasz Marchewka breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 56 minutes, Damazy Podwojski made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. The GreaT PandeMoniuM's Zachariasz Marchewka tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The GreaT PandeMoniuM's Zachariasz Marchewka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Damazy Podwojski in the 66th minute of play. If Damazy Podwojski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, The GreaT PandeMoniuM's Wincenty Okropny got a free kick in the 95th minute. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ajax Tychy fully deserved thier win.
