A very good chance. 19 minutes into the game, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Milosz Ranowiecki nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Slawomir Lanczak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Borys Lemiesz in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Radomir Furtok saved Zawisza Bydgoszcz from getting behind. An unexpected shot in the 27th minute by Milosz Ranowiecki got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 38 minutes into the match, 1 FC Nurnberg's goalkeeper Slawomir Lanczak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milosz Ranowiecki. 39 minutes into the match, Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Ludomir Maurycy sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Slawomir Lanczak narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Edward Kasiewski's late challenge caught a Zawisza Bydgoszcz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milosz Ranowiecki got free with Slawomir Lanczak in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, 1 FC Nurnberg's Slawomir Lanczak got control of the ball when Milosz Ranowiecki tried to sneak it across the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Borys Lemiesz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 53rdth minute tested the skills of Radomir Furtok when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Milosz Ranowiecki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th match minute, 1 FC Nurnberg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Borys Lemiesz to maneuver through the defense. If Milosz Ranowiecki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Konrad Mazurkiewicz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zawisza Bydgoszcz's supporters rose to their feet, but Konrad Mazurkiewicz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Slawomir Lanczak breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Borys Lemiesz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Zawisza Bydgoszcz's Milosz Ranowiecki in 81 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Slawomir Lanczak guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 85 played minutes 1 FC Nurnberg got a freekick which was hit by Ludomil Karanewski. If Milosz Ranowiecki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ludomil Kaminski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Milosz Ranowiecki fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Slawomir Lanczak having to interfere. Zawisza Bydgoszcz were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
