Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wasyl Nocny in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kryspin Grajewski prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Wasyl Nocny had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind GKS Florian's goalkeeper Kryspin Grajewski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of GKS Florian booed when Real Katowice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kazimierz Bartelak didn't get a good kick on the ball. Remigiusz Marchlewicz charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Remigiusz Marchlewicz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Real Katowice's Remigiusz Marchlewicz got a free kick in the 11th minute. When Ludomil Golota came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Real Katowice fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ludomil Golota couldn't finish the play. In the 21st match minute, GKS Florian was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tymoteusz Bochynski to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the match Real Katowice got a corner. GKS Florian's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. GKS Florian's Radoslaw Rakowski got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Real Katowice defense, Miroslaw Pachucki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roch Chazen. The Real Katowice fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roch Chazen should have stopped the shot. Wasyl Nocny who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Kryspin Grajewski when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Radoslaw Rakowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roch Chazen having to interfere. In the 34th minute Miroslaw Pachucki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Roch Chazen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Teobald Nowacki kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. Roch Chazen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Radoslaw Rakowski in the 37th minute of play. GKS Florian's Miroslaw Pachucki got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Radoslaw Rakowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Radoslaw Rakowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miroslaw Pachucki to strike the kick off in the second half. Real Katowice's Roch Chazen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miroslaw Pachucki in the 63rd minute of play. A collision led to Real Katowice getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Teobald Nowacki hit a great ball. In the 66th minute of the match GKS Florian got a corner. Real Katowice's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Miromir Kilarski ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Miromir Kilarski almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Real Katowice's Roch Chazen did a great save. Kryspin Grajewski didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teobald Nowacki went, in the 69th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Roch Chazen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miroslaw Pachucki in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 76th minute Ludomil Golota shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kryspin Grajewski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Izydor Tyski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ludomil Golota in the 81st minute of play forced GKS Florian's goalkeeper Kryspin Grajewski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Katowice's goalkeeper Roch Chazen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Miroslaw Pachucki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
