He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Podhale Nowy Targ reached it. 8 minutes into the game, Kryspin Brytan cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Beniamin Smolarek was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bogdan Domin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 12th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Beniamin Smolarek. Smefju FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Podhale Nowy Targ's Cezary Tomaszewski got control of the ball when Konrad Domeradzki tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zygmunt Kajder's late challenge caught a Podhale Nowy Targ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zygmunt Kajder helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Smefju FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Zygmunt Kajder hit a great ball. Smefju FC's Beniamin Smolarek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Czeslaw Puszynski in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute Barnaba Grabowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Beniamin Smolarek saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Kryspin Brytan came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Podhale Nowy Targ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kryspin Brytan couldn't finish the play. Kryspin Brytan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Beniamin Smolarek having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Kryspin Brytan made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Smefju FC booed when Podhale Nowy Targ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 50 match minutes in a wonderful position. Czeslaw Puszynski didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Kryspin Brytan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beniamin Smolarek was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Pankracy Iwanowski sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kryspin Brytan got free with Beniamin Smolarek in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Beniamin Smolarek was a little too slow when Czeslaw Puszynski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 64th minute. The score was now 0-3. Cezary Tomaszewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Borys Golaszewski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Konrad Domeradzki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute of the match Cyryl Rzeszutek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Beniamin Smolarek showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Beniamin Smolarek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kryspin Brytan in the 86th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Pankracy Iwanowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 91st match minute, Podhale Nowy Targ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dawid Niemojewski to maneuver through the defense. In the 93rd play minute Kryspin Brytan came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Beniamin Smolarek. 0-4.
