The referee ignored STAL MIELEC's protests and gave Zbigniew Domeracki a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Swansea City A.F.C. booed when STAL MIELEC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zbigniew Domeracki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Florian Poreda's late challenge caught a STAL MIELEC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florian Poreda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 52nd minute, Florian Poreda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Swansea City A.F.C.'s Juliusz Daszkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolek Burdzel in the 54th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Boleslaw Plech managed to get in a good position for a shot. Swansea City A.F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Boleslaw Plech was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kajetan Kossakowski breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
