Wojciech Cetnar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juliusz Jaraczewski, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Zula Soroka charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zula Soroka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Zaglebie Skawina booed when Szlachta Gliwice was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zula Soroka didn't get a good kick on the ball. The coaching staff of Zaglebie Skawina protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Teofil Motowski had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 84th minute, one of Zaglebie Skawina:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Zaglebie Skawina. When the match had been going on for 87 minutes, Szlachta Gliwice's Alfred Jaroszewicz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Wojciech Cetnar. After 91 played minutes Szlachta Gliwice got a freekick which was hit by Ludomil Bara.
