Tobiasz Dytrych was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zbigniew Loncki kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. 16 minutes into the game, Zbigniew Loncki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tensei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sójcze Bytom the free kick. A collision led to Tensei getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Zbigniew Loncki hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Sójcze Bytom's Kajetan Budzynski tried to score from far away in the 17th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Tobiasz Dytrych showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dariusz Jakisz, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 24th minute Krzysztof Raschke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Slawomir Kendra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dariusz Jakisz came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Sójcze Bytom fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dariusz Jakisz couldn't finish the play. After 29 played minutes Tensei got a freekick which was hit by Zbigniew Loncki. Zenon Drab sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd match minute, Sójcze Bytom was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ksawery Cwenar to maneuver through the defense. Zenon Drab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Slawomir Kendra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zenon Drab in the 37th minute of play forced Sójcze Bytom's goalkeeper Slawomir Kendra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Tensei's Krzysztof Raschke sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Slawomir Kendra narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Krzysztof Raschke was the one to do the kick off. The tension between the Sójcze Bytom and the Tensei players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tensei booed when Sójcze Bytom was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Feliks Nieuzyla didn't get a good kick on the ball.
